Synthesis of 2-Hydroxy-1-naphthylaldehyde Thiosemicarbazone and Its Rare Earth Metal Complexes

A new Schiff base ligand,2-hydroxy-1naphthylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone(LH),and its six new rare earth metal(Er,Gd, Nd,Pr,Sm,Tb) complexes were synthesized.Their structures were characterized by UV,1H NMR and IR.The results showed that the complexes have rings with M-O,M-N and M-S bonds.
