Comparision of the effect of nasal douche with two kinds different concentration saline water after endoscopic technique

Objective To study the effect of nasal douche with two kinds different concentration saline water after endoscopic technique.Methods From the June 2006 to the December 2007,54 patients with chronic sinusitis after endoscopic sinus surgery were randomly divided into two groups:normal saline group and hypertonic saline group.The patients in two groups respectively nasal douche with normal saline and hypertonic saline nasal wash,then follow-up observation for more than half a year and the analysis of the effect of the two groups.Results The healing rate and the total effective rate of two groups had no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion The saline water of two concentrations can wash away the blood clot in the nasal cavity,nasal sinus secretions,and leukocyte adhesion together with the exudates of cellulose,which can promote the wound healing and help eliminate the mucosal edema.This is a safe,convenient way.In particular,the self-made hypertonic saline is worth promoting,which is low-cost and lower health care costs.
