Effect of Liuwei Dihuang Pills on Serum Loganin Concentration in Rats with Yin Deficiency Induced by Glucocorticosteroid

Objective To compare the concentration of the serum loganin in health and yin deficient rats after taking Liuwei Dihuang pills(LDP) and investigate the relationship between the difficient shydrome and the serum loganin from LDP.Methods The yin deficient model was induced by glucocorticosteroid,and the concentration of the serum loganin in rats after feeding LDP was determined with RP-HPLC.Results The loganin and other part in serum were easy to be separated.In the range of loganin 0.1～0.8 μg,the linear relationship was good(r=0.9992),the average recovery rate was 94.20%;The concentration of serum loganin was 34.0±7.2 μg/mL in control group,64.1±8.3 μg/mL in treat group(P0.01).Conclusion The concentration of serum loganin in healthy rats is lower than that in yin deficient rats.
