Analysis On The Mechanism Of High-pressure Water Jet Assisted Rock Breaking

High-pressure water jet assisted rock breaking drilling is a frontier-technique that can speed up well-drilling.There are so many factors invovled and the affecting mechanism so complex that the rock breakig mechanism hasn't been revealed accurately.therefor,the application and devolopment of water jet technique are restricted.This paper analyzes several classical mechanism of high-pressure water jet assisted rock breaking and discusses the reasons why low pressure pulse can improves ROP,it has great practical significance for taking full potential advantage of water jet technique.
