摘要
Abstract: This article analyses China’s strategic narratives during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Facebook posts and their impact on global perceptions. By examining posts alongside news reports from Italy, Japan, Brazil and Kenya, the authors identify three key themes in China’s strategic narratives: showcasing domestic success, highlighting diplomatic initiatives and portraying China’s strategy as superior to those of other countries. China’s strategic narratives were partially effective but limited by regional differences and the fragility of positive perceptions. Significant regional disparities emerged, with favourable views in the Global South and critical opinions in the Global North.
