Modification of ceria with enhanced catalytic properties

Cerium dioxide is an active material for catalysis due to its oxygen storage/release capacity. The presence of deffects and vacancies strongly influence the catalytic performance. Here we want to explore the effect of several physical modification on cerium dioxide powders and to check their effects in a catalytic reaction. Physical modification will include electron radiation at high energy and mechanochemical methods.
