Background Chronic kidney disease and the psychological burden of hemodialysis often diminish patient resilience. Aim This study investigates the effectiveness of structured group reminiscence therapy in improving resilience among hemodialysis patients. Methods A randomized controlled trial was conducted in 2024 at Imam Reza Hospital, Lar, Iran. Forty‐eight hemodialysis patients were randomly assigned to intervention ( n = 24) and control ( n = 24) groups. The intervention group participated in six structured reminiscence sessions adapted from the Stinson protocol. Resilience was assessed using the Connor–Davidson Resilience Scale before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using Mann–Whitney, Wilcoxon, and chi‐square tests in SPSS v25, with a significance level of 0.05. Results Baseline demographic characteristics were statistically comparable between groups. Postintervention, the intervention group showed a significant increase in resilience scores (median [IQR]: 73.5 [70.0, 80.0]) compared with pretest values (58.5 [56.0, 67.5], p < 0.001). No significant changes were observed in the control group ( p = 0.341). Between‐group comparison postintervention confirmed a significant difference ( p < 0.001) favoring the intervention group. Conclusion Structured group reminiscence therapy significantly enhances resilience among hemodialysis patients. This psychosocial intervention may be considered a viable supportive strategy in clinical care for individuals undergoing chronic dialysis treatment.
