Different amount of tungsten was incorporated into Ni/Al_2O_3-HM(mordenite) light n-paraffin isomerization catalysts via impregnation and mixing. Influence of quantity of tungsten and incorporating ways on the properties of the catalysts was investigated. It was found that for incorporation via impregnation, the quantity of tungsten has little effects on isomerization activity of the catalysts. For incorporation via mixing, there exists an optimum quantity of tungsten, at which the catalysts show optimum isomerization properties. For the same quantity of tungsten incorporated, catalysts prepared by impregnation exhibited apparently superior properties to that by mixing.
