Application of surfactants in cosmetics

The functions of surfactants such as moisturizing,dispersing,emulsifying,solubilizing,foaming,defoaming and detergency etc. as well as its applications in cosmetics were summarized. The categories of cosmetic and surfactant,the raw materials used in cosmetics,and also the requirements cosmetic requested for surfactants were introduced. Several surfactants usually used in cosmetics were also introduced in detail. The development trends of surfactant used in cosmetics were expounded in this paper.
