Study on Treatment of Corneal Burn with Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist(IL-1ra)

Interleukin-1 receptor antagonist(IL-1ra)can interrupt effects of IL-1 in immunity response,infection,inflammation and tissue damage.In this study,the rabbits corneas were burned by alkali and laser,and treated with IL-1ra afterward.The curative effects were systematically observed by six items,including slit lamp observation,pathological findings,cornea OD values determination,activity detection of corneal epithelial cell,and analysis of the corneal burn images,The result indicated that IL-1ra might be eutherapeutic in cornea burn.
