Efficacy of Oxiracetam Combined with Nimodipine in Treatment of Vascular Dementia

Objective To investigate the efficacy and clinical significance of oxiracetam combined with nimodipine in treatment of vascular dementia(VD).Methods All 80 patients with VD were randomly divided into two groups,each group 40 patients.Two groups were given anti-platelet,cerebral circulation,and basic treatment routine cerebral protection agents.Observation group was given the injection oxiracetam 4.0g+250mL normal saline infusion,once a day,for 3 weeks.Nimodipine tablets 40mg/times,3 times a day orally,once every 3 weeks.Compared the effect and MMSE score after treatment 3 weeks.Results The total effective of the observation group was significantly higher than the control group,and the difference was significant(P0.05).Compared with before treatment,two groups MMSE score was significantly increased,and the difference was significant(P0.05).After treatment compared with the control group,the MMSE score of the observation group was significantly higher increased,and the difference was significant(P0.05).Conclusion Oxiracetam combined with nimodipine in treatment of VD have good therapeutic effect and safety,and can significantly improve brain function in patients with VD.It is worthy of clinical application.
