SOCIOEMOTIONAL WEALTH OF FAMILY BUSINESSES: A METHODOLOGICAL REVIEW AND RESEARCH TREND ANALYSIS

ABSTRACT This paper is a review of the research methodologies adopted for exploring and studying the emerging concept of socioemotional wealth (SEW). Unlike regular review articles which consolidate the concepts, this paper consolidates the research techniques adopted to understand SEW as a construct. It identifies two emerging trends of SEW Research, one being Outcome and Predictor Research and the other being research meant for Conceptual Theory Development of the construct. Finally the author also suggests several other methodologies that can be adopted to enhance understanding of the SEW construct. Keywords Socioemotional Wealth, Methodological Review
