Application of Organosolv Lignin in Lignin Modified Polyurethane

Compared with traditional lignosulfonates,organosolv lignin possesses some valuable characteristics such as higher content of reactive groups,directly to react with isocyanate to form polyurethane.The preparation and structure characteristics of organosolv lignin were introduced while its applications in lignin modified polyurethane foam were presented in detail.The results show that the organosolv lignin can replace some part of polyol.The lignin modified polyurethane foam is good thermal materials and lower cost than other polyurethane,which was synthesized by petroleum chemicals.
