MSCT volume imaging evaluate the feasibility of hemi-pulmonary function in COPD

Objective To explore the correlation between lung volumes and hemi-lung volume were measured by MSCT and pulmonary function test(PFT).Methods 31 patients with COPD by clinician(COPD group),and 30 people were normal who were selected by PFT and chest MSCT(control group).The differences of lung volumes parameter measured by MSCT and PFT were compared.Results MSCT lung volume parameter compared with PFT parameter have noticeable correlation(P0.01).The percentage of abnormal left-lung volume plus the percentage of abnormal left-lung volume equal to the percentage of destroyed total lung volume.To use the percentage of abnormal hemi-lung volume indirectly measure hemi-pulmonary function.Conclusion Lung volumes obtained from MSCT show correlation with PFT results.Lung volumes measured from MSCT can be used to evaluate the pulmonary function.The percentage of abnormal hemi-lung volume can measure hemi-pulmonary function.
