Clinical Observation of BiPAP Non-invasive Positive Pressure Mechanic Ventilation in Treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease with Type-II Respiratory Failure
Objective To evaluate efficacy of noninvasive positive pressure mechanical ventilation in the treatment of AECOPD patients with type Ⅱ chronic respiratory failure. Methods 80 cases were divided into two groups: noninvasive positive pressure mechanic ventilation and control. Cases in control were given anti-infection, relieving asthma, eliminating phlegm, inhaling low volume oxygen and supply treatment ,cases in treatment group were treated with Bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP) ventilation in addition to above routine treatment. Respiratory treatment parameter was as follow. S/T model, IPAP 8~22cmH2O,EPAP 4~8 cmH2O,twice a day and 2~5 hours per time, each course lasted for 10 days. Results PaO2 and PaCO2 changed significantly more in treatment group than that in the control (P0.05).Conclusion Noninvasive positive pressure mechanical ventilation as auxiliary treatment is definitely valuable for AECOPD patients with type-II chronic respiratory failure.
