Objective:To study the protective effect of polysaccharide from Cynanchum auriculatum Royle ex Wight against CCl4-induced liver injury in mice. Methods:Eighty male mice from Kunming were rando mly divided into normal control group, model control group, positive control group,high-dosage group,middle-dosage group and low-dosage group. The mice divided into the above 6 groups were fed for 7 days. The drug groups were by gavage with 500,250,100mg/kg polysaccharide from Cynanchum auriculatum Royle ex Wight, positive control group was by gavage with 80 mg/kg solution of liver-aid tablet, normal control group and model control group were given the same volume physiological saline,On the 7th day of feeding, the mice except normal control group were given 10 mL/kg solution of CCl4,Twenty four hours after the intoxication, the serum ALT and AST content were measured in each group above. Results:Polysaccharide from Cynanchum auriculatum Royle ex Wight can significantly decreased the content of ALT and AST in serum. Conclusion:It is revealed that polysaccharide from Cynanchum auriculatum Royle ex Wight have some protective effect to CCl4-induced liver injury in mice.
