The dyeing properties of wools modified by chlorination and drawing were compared. Compared with wool yarn, chlorinated wool had higher dyeing rate, quick to dyeing balance, and same or higher color fastnesses; The drawn wool with higher drawing ratio had improved dye uptake and balance uptake;the dyeing properties Were affected by drawing setting and dyeing conditions. These modified wools were dyed with 1:1 metal complex dyes, 1:2 metal complex dyes and bromoacryloylamine-based reactive dyes, and the dyeing mechanism was investigated,These two kinds of modified wools were suitable for dyeing at low temperature, and had high dyeing rate and uptake and osmotic dyeing ability at 80℃.
