Based on dynamic temperature scan test result and viscosity at different temperatures,viscosity-temperature relationships of modified asphalts with and without viscosity reducing additive were established.And the effect of viscous reducing additive is evaluated in terms of three basic indexes,SHRP performance evaluation,high temperature stability as well as mixture behavior.The results show that adding 3% SLA-603 additive to modified asphalt makes 135 ℃ viscosity of asphalt decreased by 50%.And at normal temperature G*/sinδ of modified asphalt with this additive becomes 3~6 times higher than modified asphalt without SLA-603.The proper content of the additive is 3%~5% of asphalt weight.Adding 5% viscosity reducing additive can reduce field initial rolling temperature by 15 ℃.Therefore,this additive is proved effective to reduce viscosity of asphalt and enhance high temperature stability of asphalt mixture.
