[Anti-IgE antibodies in the treatment of bronchial asthma].

The central role of IgE in the pathogenesis of bronchial asthma has induced to study the effects of a monoclonal antibody anti-IgE in this disease. The characteristics of this antibody and the early results of its use in bronchial asthma are briefly summarized.
