The effects of peripheral inflammation and chronic stress on cognitive function and its mechanisms

There are accumulating evidences indicate peripheral inflammation and chronic stress could trigger central inflammation and impairment of cognition. The effects of peripheral inflammation and chronic stress on central nervous system are closely related to the glia cells. The roles that glia cells played under inflammatory and stress conditions are stated in this paper.
