Objective To summarize the application of 3D-DSA and roadmap technique to embolization of intracranial aneurysms with GDC. Methods We respectively analyzed the process and effectiveness of 3D reconstruction of blood vessels and roadmap technique in interventional embolization of intracranial aneurysms in 43 patients. Results Embolization with GDC was performed in 43 cases of aneurysm (41 single aneurysms and 2 multiple aneurysms). According to the site of aneurysm formation, there were 19 aneurysms of posterior communicating artery, 15 aneurysms of anterior communicating artery, 4 aneurysms of internal carotid artery, 2 aneurysms of ophthalmic artery, 2 aneurysms of middle cerebral artery, 2 aneurysms of posterior cerebral artery, and 1 aneurysm of basilar artery. 39 cases were completely occluded and 6 partly occluded. No death or permanent complications occurred. Conclusion 3D reconstruction of blood vessels and roadmap technique plays an important role in embolization of intracranial aneurysms with GDC.
