Porous asphalt concrete (PAC) has been widely used. However, clogging is the major limiting factor in PAC's use. In this work, the permeability model and characteristics of PAC under the condition of cyclic clogging and cleaning were studied. Firstly, three clogging materials were selected for cyclic clogging-cleaning tests to conduct research on PAC's permeability with different cleaning methods. Further, the relation between mixture parameters and the permeability was analysed, and the permeability coefficient model was established. Last, the clogging factor β was introduced and the relation among clogging factors and the permeability coefficient was expressed by the regression equation. The results revealed there was an obvious exponential relation between the permeability coefficient and clogging times. The V′ CCmixture parameters were correlated highly with the permeability coefficient in the model. Correlation analysis was applied to determine the relations between β and the mixture parameters. Models of βclogging and βcleaning were established with different cleaning methods.
