The completion of the human genome project (HGP) by the Human Genome Consortium provides research and computational biologists with the first working draft sequence of the human genome. The sequence consists of approximately three billion base-pairs of DNA sequence information, the sheer scale of which presents immense computational problems. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
