Source of material The complex Eu(DBM) 3 (DBM =dibenzoylmethanate) was prepared by Melby et al. proposed method [1].The content of Hand Cwas determined for aproduct stored for 2months by means of an elemental analyzer.Found: H, 3.98 %; C, 65.21 %; Eu, 18.19.%;calculated for Eu(DBM) 3 :H,4.05%; C, 65.77 %; Eu, 18.49 .%.The powdered material Eu(DBM) 3 was dissolved in asolution of tetrabuthylammonium (TBA) hexafluorophosphate and dimethyl sulfoxid (DMSO).After af ew weeks needle-like crystals were obtained at ambient temperature.
