Significant Effects of Anion in Aqueous Reactant Solution on Photocatalytic O2 Evolution and Fe(III) Reduction

Abstract The apparent quantum yield at 365 nm over TiO2 photocatalyst for O2 evolution and Fe3+ reduction in an aqueous FeCl3–HCl solution was 51%, and more than 15 times higher than in an aqueous Fe2(SO4)3–H2SO4 solution.
