Study on fatigue crack monitoring of metallic aircraft structure based on attached eddy current sensor

Safety and reliability of the aircraft are strongly influenced by fatigue surface crack. Now, the major load-bearing parts in aircraft are still made of metal, even F22, the most advanced military flight, composites components make up only 24% of total body weight (Cui, 2010). At a long period in the future, metal components remain to be used widely in the aircraft.
