Generation of cycloalkynes through deprotonation of cyclic enol triflates with magnesium bisamides

Magnesium bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidide)-mediated deprotonation of readily available cyclic enol triflates allows direct access to cyclohexynes, cycloheptynes, and cyclooctynes.
