This research investigated both the contents of antidandruff agents(salicylic acid,ketoconazole,climbazole,octopirox,SeS2 and pyrithione zinc) in 78 batches of antidandruff shampoo and the contents of effective substances and surfactants in 44 batches of normal shampoo. Results showed that the contents of antidandruff agents and effective substances in most shampoo samples met the standard requirements.Pyrithione zinc was the most commonly used antidandruff agent,52.6% of the antidandruff shampoo used it.The second was climbazole. The average contents of effective substances, anionic and nonionic surfactants in 44 batches of normal shampoo were 14.1%,10.3% and 2.2%,respectively.The contents of effective substances and surfactants in non-famous brand shampoo were lower than that in famous brand products;however, the contents in shampoo for hotel were lower than that in marketed products.
