Analysis on Impact of Tailings Mining on Tailings Dam

For eliminating hidden danger,restoring the ecological environment of pond region,comprehensively recovering resources in tailings,and filling mined-out area using tailings,it was decided to restart the mining of tailings in Xiangshuichong tailings pone.The stability of the dam at present and when the tailings near dam will be mined was analyzed by elastic-plastic finite element simulation.The analysis results showed that the top failure of dam will probably occur with the increase of tailings exploitation near dam.Combining with the actual situation of tailings mining,according with the conclusions of the simulation analysis,some proposals for the tailings mining were advanced.
