Discrimination of edible vegetable oil adulterated waste cooking oil by nuclear magnetic resonance

The solid fat contents(SFC) of hogwash oil,waste edible oil and three edible vegetable oils(peanut oil,rapeseed oil and soybean oil)were detected with nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) at 10℃and 0℃.The SFC of hogwash oil at 10℃and 0℃were 26.51% and 43.25%,waste edible oil were 9.47% and 12.60%,but the SFC of three edible vegetable oils were few.The SFC of edible vegetable oils increased with the increasing of adulteration quantity of hogwash oil.The result showed that this method could judge whether the edible vegetable oils were adulterated waste cooking oil only if there was 1% adulteration.
