Braking ability of engine brake and retarder brake when bus downhill

When bus driving on downhill road,its engine has no enough stopping power.This paper put forward a continuous braking mode that combined the engine braking with retarder braking. The braking ability of this method was tested and analyzed.The results show that this braking method can make bus drive on various slope at safety speed.It can prevent traffic accidents from the main braker overheat.
