Isothermal Crystallization Kinetics of Biodegradable Poly(butylene succinate-co-butylene terephthalate)

In this paper, the isothermal crystallization kinetics of the prepared poly(butylene succinate-co-butylene terephthalate) (PBST) is investigated by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). According to Avrami equation, the values of exponent n for the two copolyesters are more than 3, which probably corresponds to a 3-dimensional spherulitic growth. Polarized light micrographs confirm the results.
