The Influence of Urban Heat Island on Urban Planning

The influence of urban heat island(UHI) on urban planning was analyzed based a simple summary of UHI.UHI is one of the typical urban climates in metropolis resulted from urbanization.Clear spatio-temporal characteristics of UHI were found in cities.UHI is linked to many factors like substrate and energy consuming. Several aspects were analyzed to discuss the effect of UHI on urban planning including urban aerodynamics,urban forest,urban color,urban energy and urban scale.The impact of UHI on urban planning is significant.In order to mitigate UHI and achieve a harmonious development of economy,society and nature,the department of urban planning and expert should make a reasonable urban planning according to the distribution and formed mechanism of UHI.
