Simultaneous determination of nonylphenol and bisphenol A in water by solid-phase extraction-high performance liquid chromatography-fluorescence detector

A comprehensive analytical method based on high performance liquid chromatography-fluorescence detection(HPLC-FLU) has been established for the determination of nonylphenol(NP) and bisphenol A(BPA) in water.Clean-up of the water samples was performed on an C18 solid extraction cartridges(3 mL,500 mg).The method was successfully applied to the investigation of residual nonylphenol and bisphenol A in the treated water from different unit operations units of the wastewter treatment plant.Recoveries for nonylphenol and bisphenol A at different spiked levels were ranged from 95.3% to 98.6% with relative standard deviations of 2.5%～3.7%.
