Mechanism Analysis on Water Stability of Asphalt Mixtures Modified by Uintaite

Aiming to evaluate the improvements of water stability of asphalt mixtures modified by uintaite,SEM method is adopted to carry out micro interface research to the surface of high-tem binding aggregates of uintaite mastic asphalt,surface free-energy method is taken to analyze the adhesiveness between asphalt and aggregates and test on water stability of asphalt mixtures modified by uintaite mastic asphalt is undertaken.The experimental results suggest that uintaite mastic asphalt can:enhance asphalt hydrophobicity;effectively improve the adhesiveness between asphalt and aggregate;significantly improve the high temperature stability and anti-moisture damage performance of asphalt mixture.
