3-D resistivity inversions under the condition of uneven terrain are presented in this study, and several methods for erasing topographic influence in the inversion are discussed. It is shown that only the inversion incorporating topography, in which the topography is directly incorporated into the inversion algorithm, can effectively erase the topographic influence and correct the error in inversion result, hence obtaining inverted model in agreement with subsurface geoelectrical structures.
