Study of Sorption behavior of Atrazine toward soil

The objectives of this study are to evaluate the sorptioncharacteristics of Atrazine pesticide by fitting the sorption data to linear & nonlinear isotherm equation under Laboratory equation. The sorption of Atrazine was studied using a batch experiment technique. Adsorption studies are useful for generating essential information on the mobility of pesticide & their distribution in the soil & water. Generated data were tested with isotherm models and adsorption data describe well according to Freundlich isotherm (r2= 0.97) In this work adsorption features were studied in details in fifteen representative soil samples of local areas of Pune district.
