The adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) gene is important in the etiology of familial adenomatous polyposis(FAP). This study is to investigate the molecular mutation of the adenomatous polyposis coli gene, and indicate how it activates the anti-oncogenes to participate in cell apoptosis, thus leading to tumorigenesis. With the research into APC, it is significant to improve the hereditary predisposition and reduce the genetic load at the prenatal diagnosis.
