摘要
Classic colorimetric methods are still often used to detect the presence of carbohydrates. Several of these methods can distinguish between carbohydrate types and are also used for quantitative determinations. This chapter provides 18 protocols of different frequently used colorimetric methods, including their chemical reaction schemes. The protocols range from a simple spot test to spectrophotometric quantitation using standard calibration curves.
