摘要
The incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the manufacturing sector signifies a crucial transition towards Industry 4.0, converting conventional systems into intelligent, automated, and data-centric operations. AI technologies—such as machine learning, computer vision, and the Internet of Things (IoT)—improve productivity, facilitate predictive maintenance, enhance quality control, and bolster supply chain resilience. Smart factories serve as a prime example of this transformation, allowing for real-time decision-making and promoting sustainability. Nevertheless, challenges such as cybersecurity threats, data privacy concerns, and workforce displacement remain, highlighting the necessity for ethical AI implementation and workforce reskilling. To fully harness the potential of AI, manufacturers must integrate it into their long-term strategies as a strategic enabler that aligns with human insight and innovation.
