摘要
Aerodynamic data sets form the basis for the aerodynamic and flight physics analysis of an aircraft conceptual design. In the case of the low-boom supersonic business jet design from the DLR project STORMIE (Supersonic Transport Open Research Models and Impact on Environment), a surrogate model-based multi-fidelity approach is used to create this data set. Therefore, in this paper, the results of the handbook methods and of the DLR’s multi-lifting-line code LIFTING_LINE are compared with the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) simulations used in the DLR TAU code. The multi-fidelity data set is then created based on these methods. Furthermore, the study aims to assess the reliability and accuracy of the different computational methods and their impact on the performance analysis of the aircraft. In addition, the impact of the geometry accuracy is shown by a comparison of a glider, a flow-through nacelle and a powered engine configuration. Aerodynamic performance is analyzed based on the multi-fidelity data set, including a consideration of the static longitudinal stability and trimmability under several flight conditions. Finally, a recommendation is made for the redesign of the canard of such an aircraft configuration. Thus, this work provides an insight into the conceptual design phase of a civil supersonic aircraft.
