Revisiting the relation between financial inclusion and economic growth: a global analysis using panel threshold regression

• We re-examine the finance-growth nexus for a range of the subcategory of countries. • Financial inclusion (FI) has impacted positively economic growth across all panels. • The impact of FI is greater for advanced countries. • The effects of FI on growth are higher for non-fragile compared with fragile economies. • Financial development increases the impact of financial inclusion on economic growth.
