摘要
In this study, the MnGe4 single crystal sample has been synthesized by high-pressure and high-temperature (HPHT) techniques for the first time. And then its structure and magnetism were studied in detail. MnGe4 was determined to crystallize into an orthorhombic structure (space group: Cmmm) by using the single crystal X-ray diffraction characterization. The dependence of magnetization on magnetic field and temperature show that MnGe4 single crystal is ferromagnetic with a Curie temperature (TC) of 330 K and the effective magnetization moment of 1.58 μB at T = 2 K and H = 4 T. The coercive force at 300 K is 19 Oe.
