摘要
Optical fiber surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensors have great potential in the early stage detection of diseases, owing to their advantages of fast detection speed, high specificity, high sensitivity, and convenient operation. Enhancing the sensitivity of optical fiber SPR sensors can be achieved by optimizing fiber microstructure to expose the evanescent wave to the dielectric layer, improving metal film structures, or introducing new materials to amplify the local electric field and strengthen light-material interactions. This article succinctly elucidates the sensitivity mechanism of plasma resonance biosensors and outlines the latest research progress in cancer, infectious diseases, and inflammation.
