摘要
A S-band low loss broadband circularly polarized magnetic and electric dipole antenna with high power capacity and better axial ratio was designed. The antenna is composed of an electric dipole, a magnetic dipole, a feeding balun, and a metal floor. The electric dipole uses a bow-tie dipole, the magnetic dipole uses a folded dipole, and the feeding balun uses a metal coaxial line with $\lambda/4$ V-shaped groove. The electric dipole and the magnetic dipole are symmetrically distributed in a cross shape. The electric dipole is parallel to the metal floor, and the magnetic dipole is perpendicular to the metal floor. Through theoretical analysis and electromagnetic simulation, the results show that the relative bandwidth (VSWR <2) at the center frequency of 3.14 GHz reaches 31°/0, the 3dB axial ratio bandwidth reaches 10°/0, the gain at 3 GHz reaches 6.53 dBi, and the axial ratio of the maximum radiation direction is 0.65 dB.
