Optical matrix switches of optical signals

The results of modelling of optical 1/spl times/2, 2/spl times/2, 4/spl times/4 switches of optical signals are presented. Their optical trains are given and, also, principles of establishing of mutual linking between the channels in devices are considered. With the optical 4/spl times/4 switch, the possibility of data transfer in the packet switching mode is shown. The major parameters of switches of this type are given.
