Influential Factors for the Collective Accidental Injuries of 691 Children in Wuchang District of Wuhan

[Objective] To analyze the influential factors for the collective accidental injuries among children and provide theoretical evidence for the prevention and control of collective children accidental injuries.[Methods] Self-made questionnaire was used to investigate 691 children stochastically collected from four kindergartens in Wuchang District;on-site retrospective investigation was carried out on the accidental injuries between January 1st and December 31st of 2004.[Results] The incidence rate of the collective children accidental injuries in Wuchang was 14.33%;the main influential factors for the accidental injuries were age,injury history,parents' occupation,kindergarten environment and family environment.[Conclusion] Children accidental injuries are the result of multiple factors and are closely related with the children's individual situation and the environment;interference and countermeasures should be taken to reduce and avoid the accidental injuries.
