The clinical research and observation of the efficiency of glycerol itching-relieving solution to scald and burn patients

Objective To evaluate the effect of glycerine itching-relieving solution to scald and burn patients.Methods Investigating the itching-relieving effect of glycerol itching-relieving solution to scald and burn patients.Analyzing the itching-relieving effect,the onset of action,the lasting time and side effects of glycerol itching-relieving solution to severe and moderate itching scald and burn patients.Results The complete relief rate(CR)is 30.8%,while the part relief rate(PR)is 60.0%.So the total relief rate is 90.8%.The mean onset time of activation is(4.09±0.39)min,and the optimal itching-relieving time is(12.70±0.27)min and the mean lasting time is(14.3±1.3)h.The CR in patients with more than 10 times of continuous treatment is as long as which in ones with less than 10 times.So do the PR and the lasting time.The side effects of this drug are as follows,mild stabbing pain and the slight feeling of burning sensation of skin,but all of these can be tolerable.Conclusion Glycerine itching-relieving solution is an effective and safe agent to serve as itching-relieving treatment,and it can be regarded as an ideal one to relieve itch.
