[Objective] The research aimed to reveal the auditory characteristics of Myospalax cansu.[Method] Using electrophisiologic method,the microstructure of the cochlea in Myospalax cansu was analyzed.[Result] The results of scanning electron microscopy showed that the length of outer hair cells stereocilia close to cochlea axis was the shortest and that close to the lateral wall of cochlea was the longest.And the length of stereocilia was gradually longer and longer and the number of stereocilia gradually decreased from bottom of cochlea to top of cochlea.The outer hair cells and the stereocilia are often ranged irregularly and a little of stereocilia was spontaneously deleted at the top of cochlea.Inner hair cells and stereocilia arranged till the lagena at the top of cochlea and the number of hair cells and stereocilia were unchanged.[Conclusion] The inner hair cells mainly apperceived low-frequency signals.Long-term underground living environment caused the adaptive evolution of cochlea in Myospalax cansu.
