Clinical analysis of patients with hyperglycemia in perioperative period

Objective To investigate clinical characteristic and treatment of patients with hyperglycemia in perioperative period.Methods 153 cases with hyperglycemia in our hospital from 2004 to 2008 were retrospectively analyzed.Results Pulmonary infection and urinary tract infection occurred in 9 and 14 cases respectively after operation.Infection of incisional wound occurred in 10 cases.7 patients were suffered hypoglycemia and 11 patients were suffered hypopotassemia in postoperative period.Conclusion Patients with hyperglycemia have special clinic characteristic in perioperative period.Surgeons sure familiar with these complication and treat them earlier.
